It looked fine from the outside.
$4.99 for wifi what a rip off. We have stayed at 11 different motels/hotels on this trip round the USA and Homestead Suites is the only one that wanted paid for Wifi. The furniture and fittings although clean were very tatty. Even the TV would not stay tuned in when you were watching. We stayed at the Marriot the night before for $10 more and it was a different world and a cooked breakfast was included. Charlie Forsyth Room 278 13/01/2011
Location. Next to Airport and my customers... low cost but very Cheap!!
Housekiping very poor, even you ask for it at the front desk and they charge it, I had to do it by my self.... bad experience
Friendly and pretty clean. The location was great for me because it was close to my mom's house and I had a handicap for her to be able to stay with me.
The hotel staff was very friendly and they really speak english, I was very scared that they would only speak spanish, like in some reviews I have read! The room which I had was clean and smelled good.
I only missed a swimming pool, but before booking, I already knew that there was/is no swimming pool...but a swimming pool, would really be nice, a final touch for the hotel, where their guests could even more enjoy their stay at the hotel.
None of the housekeeping speak english but that also goes for half of the people living in miami, but they understand hand movements and some english and they'll give you what ever you need as well as try to help u to the best of there knowledge.
.You have to pay a toll whenever you leave to go to south beach so that sucks and parking is ridiculous but the hotel was decent you get your moneys worth.
All the noisey Spanish guests
The hotel is substandard for the price. Room was not made up during entire stay. They said it was their policy only to clean the room when you leave! The Hampton Inn, a few blocks away, offers much better service, daily cleaning, free breakfast and free Internet for about the same room rate. Based on this experience I will avoid the Homestead Inns. Is this one reflective of your general policy or is this one just badly managed?
The location and general state of the room were acceptable.
There was no mirror in the bathroom, had to shave with a glass in front of the door on the closet in the living room. When brought to the attention of management, they were indifferent and seemed to act as if it was normal. The cleanliness of the room was "ok", it had a layer of dust as if not used in quite some time, but generally clean. The kitchen utensils had to be washed before use. Drain in the bathroom had issues and was unable to take a shower for more than few minutes.
I like what you get at Homestead or Extended Stay America - clean room with a kitchen and bathroom, you know what to expect and you are getting it
The price was good. Staff was friendy enough.
Clocks weren't set. Lamps unplugged. Front desk lied about weekend maid service because they had a high occupancy. I confirmed this with a maid. No phone book in the room.
The hotel was close to the venue for business meeting.
The room had dirty dishes in the cupboard and the smell of cigarette smoke lingered in the air. The hotel is older and there were rust stains around the fixtures in the bathroom. There were people smoking in the non-smoking rooms clearly seen by several hotel employees. I have allergies and had a terrible time with air quality. The hotel appears to cater to budget travelers. Many of the guests had their room doors open seeing people coming and going, which did not feel secure. There were several landscaping work crews staying on the property during our visit. I will not stay at this type of hotel again.
It was very clean, afordable, quiet, and close to the fishing spots I was going to.Everything was clean down to the landscape and parking lot. I will deffinatly stay here again. Thanks Homestead suites. My vacation was great!
The fact that a pizza place put a flyer thru my door at 10:30 at night and scared me like someone was trying to break in. And the parking lot I was told was saposed to be entered thu gates and secure. So why is advertisers allowed in to scare people late at night.
Nice and Clean. Room decor was nice and comfortable. Good place to stay near Miami Airport.
We checked in very late, 2am. Gentleman who helped us was very nice, but had trouble with English. Couple tiny rust spots on refrigerator rack and one in bathroom. Very clean otherwise. No restaurants nearby. Very busy area in the morning traffic wise near airport. Lady next to our room apparently "lived" here as she had her own plants our front, a rug, and some signs in her window saying not to touch things. Wierd but okay I guess.
Clean, confortable, and a very complete kitchnet.
What I liked the most is the quality/price ratio. You won't get a better hotel in Miami for 70 bucks.
